SHE IS FOUNDER AND CEO OF I.M.AGE INSTITUTE AND THE MENTOR PROJECT AND HAS A 20 YEAR TRACK RECORD OF AWARD WINNING RESEARCH, PUBLICATIONS, PRESENTATIONS AND CONSULTING. SHE HAS BEEN QUOTED IN MEDIA, INCLUDING THE NEW YORK TIMES AND SEATTLE TIMES, IS PRESIDENT OF QUEENS PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION, AND IS A PAST PRESIDENT OF THE STATE SOCIETY ON AGING OF NEW YORK.
Deborah Heiser is a Consultant for corporations on topics such as: Mentorship, Meshing Family and Work, The Value of Experience and Retirement: What to expect and what NOT to fear. She consults with families on topics such as: Downsizing, Providing Resources for families, Family Caregiving Support, and Guiding Families through Crises and Emergencies. Public speaking topics include: Redefining the Image of Age, Overcoming Age Biases, Empowering Ourselves, Generativity: Mentorship, Volunteering and Philanthropy, Retirement, What to Expect: The Lifespan. As part of the I.M.AGE Institute, Deborah founded and maintains The Mentor Project. This is a series of vignettes in writing and video format sharing stories of successful mentors. This is developed as part of a book she is working on, showing the benefits of mentoring others, from the perspective of the mentors.
