"Your Beautiful Child Radio"
with Shane B. Kulman MS SpEd
Shane brings you: Your Beautiful Child Radio is a forum for parents, caregivers and anyone who understands that we are ALL children at heart, and we all have needs that are special. Being conscious and aware of the children in our lives and that they learn from watching us is key in having them grow up to be successful thriving, independent adults. Children do not naturally acquire the tools to be happy. In turn they have melt-downs, tantrums and form negative behaviors. These are the result of a need in their lives not being met. We must not blame them, we must guide them how to help themselves. We must feed them love and kindness so their self-esteem will be strong, and they will grow into happy people. Every child has the ability to do "good" if they can. Shane is a published author, and trained and experienced parent coach, she gives workshops nationally about relaxation and bonding with children of all needs.

I am learning that if I am uncomfortable, chances the other person is as well! This is a lesson I’ve been learning and experiencing at The Open Door Acting Company. I’ve been going to classes twice a week…

When is the last time you've stared at your face in the mirror (without posing) for more than 30 seconds?
I've been bringing a face size mirror to sessions with the children I work with. The most amazing thing is happening, children enjoy watching themselves - do anything.…

As Your Beautiful Child expands, I find my organizational skills being tested. This has never been a strong point of mine, and at the very least I do not have a child that is following my lead. I have the tools I need to work on this skill, but somewhere as a child this was not a skill I mastered, (for the record; my Mother is super organized.)
When I work with a child, I stress to the parent that their toy and work area must be ultra organized. This is one wonderful way I…

I am fully aware that I constantly tell parents and caregivers to relax in a multitude of “simple” ways. I actually feel them thinking “yea right, I have no time.” Lately I have been extremely busy producing two events, A Day of Joy and A Musical Intervention and I have 28 hours of 1:1 therapy with three children/families plus I present workshops here and there… I am busy. I am busy with things I love. I have also found time to…
