Everyone has the little voice in their head—their Inner Critic, Chief Complaint Officer, Ms. Know-It-All or Mrs. Better-way. This voice chips away our power, self-confidence and dreams every chance it gets.
So, I started to wonder, how does this happen? Who keeps promoting this ‘voice’ until it thinks it’s in charge?
Well, the truth is, I do. We all do.
We feed the little negative monster when we beat ourselves up for things that we should or shouldn’t do, without understanding why it is we should or shouldn’t do them. Most of us lose sight of what we are good at, and focus on improving what we’re not good at. We get caught up in ‘keeping up with the Joneses.’
You see, that little voice, the one who compares us to others, judges us and holds us back, its lost sight of who we really are, how we work and what we are capable of. In turn, it keeps us from reaching our goals and dreams.
Do you know who you are and how you work? Really?
