The spiritual journey is a personal path, made more enjoyable when we have a loving companion with whom to share our ups and downs. Each of us comes into this life with a long and varied history which shapes our character and sets the tone for the people and circumstances we will meet during our personal hero’s adventure.
Each one of us contains the seeds of Divinity - love, wisdom and power and how we express these is shown by the three spiritual planets - Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. The position of and aspects to these planets shows our current developmental level of these qualities and the potential for further growth in this life.
When any of the spiritual planets is linked to a relationship planet it is possible for us to become confused as the strong spiritual urges get mixed up with our perception of our partner. As we are all human this can place unreasonable expectations on the relationship, causing pain and difficulty for both partners as they struggle to accept what they see as their partner’s faults, despite their love for each other.
When I prepare a birth chart interpretation, issues highlighted by the personal planets always come first as without understanding problems arising in childhood, these are carried into a relationship and can be projected onto one’s partner. If a spiritual planet is part of the mix the relationship can become a source of pain rather than an opportunity to support your partner lovingly while they find their own healing solutions, after which you both benefit from a truly fulfilling union.
My Happy Couple reading looks at a relationship from the basis of what your partner can show and teach you. Always remember what attracted you to your partner in the first place.
The spiritual planets represent potential which is now more easily accessed, through the gradual lifting of the veil as we currently stand at the centre-point of the alignment with the Galactic Centre and the Precession of the Equinoxes.
The level at which we can handle strong spiritual urges depends on our level of spiritual development. We can come into this life with a great deal of spiritual maturity but it is our intent that determines whether we connect to this and if we choose more positive qualities such as love, tolerance, understanding, fairness, co-operation, etc. The birth chart shows the history of our soul, the type of experiences we have previously encountered and how we dealt with them.
Neptune represents the loving and healing qualities of the Divine. When we express these within ourselves we seek beauty around us, through our empathy and compassion we desire to heal those who suffer, and we see perfection in others, the ideal to which we feel they can attain.
If we have Neptune contacting a relationship planets in our chart but we have a lack of spiritual development there can be the tendency to seek out glamour through our partner, or to see things as they could be without accepting what they really are. This can make us feel disappointed with our partner when they don’t live up to our unreasonably high expectations. We know what they could be but we feel they fall short. Through unconditional love we honour their own personal path and accept their choices.
The higher level of Neptune sees beauty in everything, sees it as perfect. As angels work close to Source energy they can heal tirelessly. Humans who are sensitive channel angelic healing energy through them without becoming exhausted. It is when we try to do the healing ourself from our human self, that we become burnt out. When we try to heal our partner we end up feeling tired and resentful. By choosing spiritual qualities of acceptance, love and compassion, we allow our partner to find their own healing solutions. We encourage them to develop their highest potential, at their own pace, by believing in them.
If we have Uranus contacting a relationship planet we need our freedom. This is because Uranus is the planet of revelation, of brilliant ideas and of creative new solutions. In the Spirit realms we form loving attachments. These are recognised and honoured by others, without the need for a binding contract. At the lower level of spiritual development Uranus in relationship can give the urge for freedom at all costs and often provocative behaviour. When understanding and a higher level of development has been reached, the quality of this relationship is a type of spiritual love that puts spiritual development first. Both partners love each other and desire to further each other’s growth. If this means that they have to part in order to grow, both partners accept this as necessary and let each other go with love.
Uranus insights come spontaneously and sporadically and someone with a strong Uranus needs the freedom to be able to instantly follow their creative and innovative inspirations. Otherwise this brilliance is lost. This can be contained in an understanding relationship with give and take on both sides.
If we have Pluto contacting a relationship planet the stakes are much higher. As the planet of extremes this gives the potential for destruction or transformation. At a deep level those with Pluto strong in the chart may fear the pain associated with transformation but feel compelled to seek it out. This fear can cause a few problems in relationship. And as the agent of transformation is a person, their relationship is of prime importance.
Pluto relationships are very often karmic, a soul bond, as this is the life where transformation is timed to occur. Transformation is associated with recycling as it takes a current flawed personal trait, subjects it to a long and difficult process, often a relationship situation which one feels powerless to change, and forces it to surrender and transform into a new and powerful ability. The link with life purpose is that this new ability is one’s personal speciality as you are the one that has personally undergone the transformative process, has beaten the situation and emerged triumphant and with the knowledge of the experience.
Pluto survivors become abuse counsellors, healers, support workers, hospice workers. Any number of professions that emotionally support and heal with strength and courage. The keyword here is passion as only those who have personally undergone a difficult experience have the true passion and strong desire to help others go through what they personally have dealt with. They teach through their wisdom. This becomes their higher life purpose.
